Luke Parkhouse

From a young age I have always been into some kind of sport or fitness based activities. I have always loved pushing my body and mind as far as I can to see how long I can last. Once leaving school I joined the British Army at 16 to pursue a career as a soldier. I was quickly put through my paces not only physically but also mentally. Having to learn how to overcome hard tasks with my mind rather than just my body. My passion for fitness and sports went on for the 6 years I spent in the infantry teaching me various different ways of training and how to adapt those to different situations. Once leaving I followed the fitness dream and became qualified as a level 3 personal trainer and level 2 gym instructor. I regularly teach on a one to one basic and also take group classes for up to 30 people. I have completed various courses from spinning to strength and conditioning and many more. The main area I am now focused on is mentally preparing someone to train or be trained. I believe we all have the tools to achieve our goals but it’s how we get there that counts. Being physically fit is the easy part but mental fitness is the key to a whole new world.

Derek Burgess

I have been in the fitness industry for nearly 15 years having gained qualifications in personal training and body massage. I have specialised in strength training and rehab. I also joined the police service and worked my way to a specialist firearms officer and qualified as a sniper. I have helped out other officers gain better fitness by using more functional movements that we would be using on a day to day basis in the police service. I bring all this experience to help out other people who are looking to gain strength but in a functional way that our bodies were designed for.

Graham Grover

I'm 27 years old and live in Bedfordshire.

I'm a very outgoing person and love working in a team. I believe I'm a natural born leader and like to take command. I grew up wanting to join the army and at the earliest opportunity I did. Age 17 I joined the army and stayed with them for 7 years. My 6 months basic training was in North Yorkshire. I was then shipped off to Germany, where I was stationed for 4 years. Whilst there I traveled all over the world and fought in Iraq. From there I moved to Cyprus where I got sent out to Afghanistan twice. After Cyprus I moved to Leicestershire where I spent the last few months of my career as a fitness instructor. I left the army and pursued my fitness ambitions and took on the role as a personal training and fitness group instructor. I am now a principle of Tactical Training Events, Ltd.
